Winemaker Notes: Shattered Rock is sourced from a single vineyard on the east side of Oakville, tucked into its sloping hills while basking in the afternoon sun at 680 feet above sea level. The southwestern exposed vineyard ensures the grapes reach optimal ripeness, as layered notes of black cherries, kirsch, spiced cocoa, crushed rocks, and tobacco leap out of the glass. The palate fills with ripe black fruits, crème de cassis, and baking spice, wrapped in a lovely textural mid-palate of toasted oak that lingers on the palate. Classic Oakville
