2019 Viseur Red Wine


Provence has always been a favored vacation destination and is growing in popularity for wine. Bordered by the Rhone River to the west and the Côte d’Azur on the east, this historic region sits along the Mediterranean coast of France. While it is only 150 miles long its impact is profound. The geography is varied with numerous mountain ranges, gentle slopes, and sheltered valleys. The soils to are diverse. In the western region of Provence where the land was once covered by a warm, shallow ancient sea, limestone rules. Conversely, in the eastern section, the soil is mostly crystalline schist, more commonly known as Granite. Provence is the oldest wine-producing region of France. It is said that wine has been made in this region for 2600 years.

Tasting Notes: Viseur is red blend wine from France. It has flavors of red cherry and red plum, with a hint of Provencal herbs. The wine is perfect to drink now.
